During our New Year stay, we were pleased with the spacious rooms and comfortable beds. The staff were friendly and efficient, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The hotel's location in close proximity to local attractions was a definite plus, making it convenient for exploration and sightseeing. We also enjoyed the excellent evening meals provided by the hotel.
The exterior of the hotel appeared a bit shabby, although the cleanliness inside made up for it. The breakfast finishing at 9:00 was a bit early, as it would have been more convenient for holidaymakers if it extended till 9:30.

The hotel room was extremely spacious, lovely shower and hot water on tap. perfect buffet breakfast , very friendly and quietly efficient staff. All in all, one of the best weekend breaks we have ever had.
no complaints except a bit of road noise when sat outside but not enough to worry about.

This is the worst hotel I have ever booked on your website and I cannot believe it was such poor value! The cost was so high for the extremely poor standard! In the first room we were put in there wasn't even a full sized wardrobe so hanging up a dress was impossible, if it wasn't for the fact we would have been charged we simply would not have stayed there, It was disgusting and can in no way be described as luxury. It comp letely spooled what should have been a lovely break. It should be rated 1 star at best. I am very disappointed and angry at such a waste of money
This is the worst place ai have ever stayed in and it would put me off ever staying in a independent hotel again! It was completely inadequate and time warped!!!!

Room and Food fabulous
The only thing I can think of is that the wardrobe was too narrow and the air in the corridors very stuffy.

The hotel room was pure luxury and comfort and our only regret was that we could not have stayed longer! We were made to feel welcome as soon as we arrived and found everyone to be so helpful. We dined in the resturant and both the food and service were excellent. Although our stay was only short i would not hesitate to book the Kemps again next time me and my husband want to treat ourselves to a bit of luxury at this lovely hotel.

Staff very obliging, rooms well appointed, air conditioning a useful addition. Breakfast very good, freshly cooked and good quality ingredients.
The pillows were a bit flat and basic. The road noise could be annoying for some people as it is on a busy a road but I opted for closing the window and putting the air con on.

As young families, we loved the spacious and clean rooms with a comfy bed and modern bathroom. the coffee machine in the room was a nice touch. the staff was friendly and always ready to help. the location was conveniently close to all the popular attractions. the breakfast provided was delicious with a good variety of options.
The staff made us feel warm and welcomed, and there was nothing that they wouldn't do to accommodate our needs.

The food served was very good. Enjoyed the board games in the lounge. Room was very comfortable.
Confusion over what was booked on-line to what the hotel had booked for us. I asked for an extra bed in the room and when booking on-line was told it was in the price of 80 pounds although when arriving at the hotel was advised the room was not big enough for an extra bed. They moved us to a larger room to accomodate the extra bed but charged an extra ten pounds. This should be made clear when booking.

Excellent staff, great food, rooms were lovely, clean and good added extras.
It happened to be a very warm evening and the room was very hot - the air conditioning wasn't very efficient

We had excellent value for our money at Kemps Country House Guest House. The room was beautifully decorated with modern fittings and furnishings, and the large wall-mounted TV added to our comfortable stay. The location was convenient, with friendly staff providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
The food for breakfast could have been improved by offering a self-serve option for cereal and coffee, especially for those who needed an early breakfast.

We had a twin double room and the bedroom was quite large and well appointed. Good ensuite facilities. And the beds were extremely comfortable. Also a good breakfast with plenty of choice . We would definitely stay there again.

Our room was large and well appointed with a king size bed and modern bathroom. There was free on site parking and the breakfast menu was wide ranging and well cooked.
There was no reception desk but you had to go to an office which said private on the door so not very welcoming, There was no bath although the shower was large but for a room price of £140 a night I would have expected a full bathroom. The car park was very badly lit as one of the lights had been covered by a climbing plant and must have been like that for some time. However when I pointed this out the manager did agree to have it seen to urgently. The WiFi only worked in the main lounge and was very slow.
